Afternoon Tea on Fine Merino pure wool.

Non superwash luxury pure wool yarn made from 100% fine merino. Spun in the UK and without superwash treatment. 100g skeins with 400 metres of yarn.

The beautiful soft quality of this yarn means that the speckles of dye are more muted than on a superwash sock yarn. They blend together beautifully, creating a soft and gentle effect, evoking the pinks and golds of an afternoon tea set.

Perfect for garments, mittens, hats, scarves, shawls and blankets. No nylon, so not suitable for socks.

All of my bases are ethically produced. My supplier visits the farms where the flocks of sheep graze whether in the UK mainland or in the British Falkland Islands. He knows the farmers personally and the sheep graze freely in their environment.

The fleece are sorted, cleaned and supplied to UK mills for high quality worsted spinning.

If the yarn is superwash, it has been treated in the UK, by a company in Yorkshire who use processes that are carried out to have as little impact on the environment as possible. They also ensure the highest safety for their workers.
