Welcome back and enjoy the video for December 20th:
English Paper Piecing
Flossie Teacakes has a wonderful blog about English paper piecing and she is the author of the book I **hope** I’m getting at Christmas.
The Sewing Directory also has an excellent guide to starting English paper piecing here.
Fundraising for KIVA through vlogmas
As I talked about in detail in Episode 88 of the podcast, I have set up a Ko-fi page to accept $3 donations (the price of a coffee) and I will be donating half to a worthwhile project via www.kiva.org. I will also be donating 10% of my income from Patreon for November, December and January.
Kiva provides loans to people in areas of the world with great poverty so that they can establish or grow their own business and fight their way out of that poverty. I am aiming to fund craft-based business and I will be talking about the projects later in vlogmas.
Our first project contribution has now been made to Viamanino in Samoa and I will introduce it in Episode 89 of my podcast. You can also read more about it in this blog post.
As of today, we have now invested in a further three KIVA projects.
I highlighted Sahinur’s project in yesterday’s video.
Links to stuff I talk about!
My yarn advent minis were purchased from Wild Rose Yarn and Hedgerow Yarns on Etsy.
My own Etsy shop sale is continuing into January. I have the Amazon warrior skeins at 10% off and already pre-wound into mega cakes, useable as soon as they arrive at your door. The few fade sets I have left are also available at 25% discount.
Lots more yarns are now available at sale price and will stay at that reduced rate over Christmas and the New Year.
See you tomorrow!
