Hi and welcome to the notes for Episode 22 of the Crafternoon Treats crochet podcast. You can view the episode here and below and the notes follow. To enter the mega giveaway please comment on the video on YouTube (not on this blog). I’d love your comments on the blog, its just you won’t be entering to win a prize 🙂
Welcome to the Crafternoon Treats Crochet podcast about crochet, , yarny pleasures, a teeny tiny bit of knitting, my progress with spinning and loads of lovely chat. I’m from Yorkshire in the UK. This episode is all about crochet shawls and features a mega giveaway.
Details of the shawls covered are given with time points here and on the video description. See this blog post for more information about the free crochet shawl patterns and this blog for details of the paid-for crochet shawl patterns that are included in the giveaway. If the links are not yet live, it may be that I haven’t published them yet (they will be out by December 9th). Or I’ve forgotten to come back and add the links – just have a quick check of the latest blogs and see if they are there yet 🙂
0.26 Intro chat
In this episode I will be focusing almost entirely on crochet shawls. Featured are free crochet patterns that you can download online or from Ravelry and paid patterns by some of the top crochet designers from all over the world.
This episode also has a mega giveaway to celebrate the Crafternoon Treats Crochet channel on YouTube going over 2500 subscribers. We are actually over 2,600 now, which is totally brilliant and fantastic. There is a copy of each of the paid patterns that I feature up for grabs!
Important: to enter the giveaway for the shawl patterns you need to comment on the video on YOUTUBE. (Click through the video link above.) It doesn’t matter what your comment is but please include your RAVELRY NAME. The patterns are going to be gifted via Ravelry.

Kathryn, thanks so much for putting together such a great podcast!! There seems to be so many that focus on knitting but very few good ones about crochet!! I have been tempted to start one myself but i don’t think I could watch myself!! Anyway, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy hearing about life on the other side of the world…and listening to your accent….we love the way you say “chunky”!!
Best wishes from Helensburgh, NSW, Australia.
