More about the competition

Back in the late summer, Three Bears Yarn invited people on Facebook to suggest a new colour that should be added to their soon-to-be-born range of cotton. Helen, one of the members of the Bagalong with Crafternoon Treats Facebook group replied and only went and got one of the colours named! She suggested to Three Bears Yarn that they could sponsor a competition in our group – so I had a chat with them and its happening this weekend! We decided to open to competition up and I will be sharing it on my blog and on Facebook, Instagram and in both the Bagalong group and in The Crafternooners, the second Facebook group I started this year. Rather than concentrating only on crochet bags, The Crafternooners is for any aspect of crochet. Both groups are getting on for 3000 members now and are really great, helpful and friendly communities. One of our few rules is that you have to be NICE at all times 🙂

Beautiful colours, I’ve always got several crochet projects on the go and would love to be in with a chance.

  2. Judy says:

If I win I’ll make some baby blankets for sure. I’m in Lucy’s CAL right now and finished my big blanket so I’m using the scraps that are left for a baby blanket. Thanks for offering this and I asked to be part of both groups. I haven’t made a crochet bag for a long time so maybe that will be “The Project.”

  3. Lee says:

I have several wips that I recently completed, but have at least a dozen in process right now for the holidays, including two Sophie’s Universe Blankets, some scarves and hats. Always more time for new projects– this yarn would be PERFECT!

  4. Gillian Booth says:

What a great giveaway! My current projects are all smallish Christmassy things, about six in total, but I can’t wait to start a new blanket when Christmas comes.

  5. Michelle says:

Only 3 crochet projects on the go at the moment, but that may change soon now I’ve seen the lovely Three Bears yarn!

  6. elaine halliday says:

Hello, lovely site. Currently I am working on 8 projects, three afghans a set of coasters and placemats and 3 shawls. All crochet work. I can never stick to one project so I have several on the go to ring the changes.

I’m only going to admit to ‘too many projects to count’! But that wouldn’t stop me starting a new one straight away if I won this beautiful yarn!

  11. Helen says:

I’ve got too many projects on the go at once. A poncho, two scarves and some snowflakes are waiting for me to finish a throw for my Mum for Xmas.

  12. Lolly says:

I’d love to enter. I usually only have one (or two) projects on the go at a time – usually always pair of socks and then, sometimes, something else that’s fun or a gift. 🙂

I’ve got lots of projects either on the go or waiting in the wings for me to start. I’m currently working on Lucy’s Sunny Log Cabin quilt plus making snow flakes from the 100 Snowflakes book. I’m on number 12 right now. Future projects include a crocheted bag to add to the one from Lucy that currently holds some of my yarn stash. I would love to win the prize as I love trying out different yarns.

  20. Simona says:

This is a really great opportunity, so thank you for giving it to us to win beautiful yarn!I love to crochet, I would love to win this because I could then crochet more projects and even give them away as gifts for friends and family, a nice little or bigger homemade gift, as anyone would like to receive homemade gifts! I have a lot of projects that I would love to do, but I can’t do all as that would have to mean I would have to buy a lot of yarn. However, if I do win, I could then make more projects in my spare time and whenever I can. I really hope I can win, but we will see you wins! I wish good luck to everyone who wants to win too! Happy crocheting or knitting!
