This is a personal blog that I do in my spare time to chat about my craft projects. I have paid the set up costs to get the site up and running and I have ongoing costs of hosting and servicing. I’ve also recently started podcasting and I’m at the stage that I’m needing some better equipment for sound and visuals, which all takes quite a few pennies…
To offset these as much as possible, my site has a limited number of affiliate links. The companies I choose are ones that I use for my own purchases on a regular basis: Amazon, Etsy, Deramores and a few others. If you go ahead and click on one of these links and then make a purchase, I get a few pence. The cost to you is nothing – the price you pay is no different than if you bought it through a direct google search.
Eventually, over the year, this will hopefully be enough to pay for the site running costs and to enable me to fund the equipment I need and to arrange swaps and giveaway prizes, buy new yarn and visits to shows and exhibitions to enable me to write posts and make videos that a fresh and interesting.
If by some major twist of fate, my blog becomes so popular that the income from it turns a profit, this will be donated to Marie Curie Cancer Care to help fund more Marie Curie nurses.
My opinions are my own…
Please note that although I very happily receive yarn samples and yarn support from several yarn companies, I am not employed by any of them.
I occasionally write a guest blog for another site, for which I am paid a one-off fee as part of my freelance work but I am not paid to say nice things about their products.
My opinions are always honest and independent and if I receive a product that I don’t like, I will not recommend it.
Interested in working with me?
I am very keen to support UK-based yarn companies, small businesses and independent small retailers that provide good quality craft products for crocheters, knitters and general yarn lovers so please get in touch if you would like to donate a giveaway prize or send something for review.
