In this episode I’m talking about my Hotel of Bees shawl and showing some photos and wearing the lovely beastie. Find out more about my HOB journey here.
The CAL to make the Hotel of Bees shawl still runs until the end of May so there is time to join in – search- #hobcal on instagram. This is the idea of Sandra (of the blog Cherry Heart) and Sam (of the blog Betsy Makes) and the shawl is beautiful. The pattern is by Christina Hadderingh of the blog A Spoonful of Yarn. Its really exciting that other people are using my hand dyed yarn to make it and I’ve donated a prize of some bee stitch markers to Sandra and Sam.
One set of gold bees, one set of silver tone enamelled ones and a mixed set with two silver and two tiny bees on their honeycombs… Some of these sets may still be available in the shop – click on the picture to check…

My trip to Norfolk
I love north Norfolk and I really enjoyed my weekend away with Helen, one of my fellow blogstars. See more of my trip photos here.
My first ever knitted garment is also coming along and I’ve finished the back! I’ve put the remaining stitches onto a stitch holder and I’ve now started the two fronts. I did try to work them both together on the same circular needle but that didn’t work out too well, so I’m carrying on working on them on separate sets of needles.
Etsy shop and hand dyed yarn news
At the end I talk a little bit about my Etsy shop and my continuing adventures in yarn dyeing and stitch marker design.
This episode includes a giveaway of 3 skeins of my yarn for someone to make the HOBCAL shawl (or another shawl, the rules aren’t that strict!). To enter you must be a channel subscriber and then please leave a comment below the video with your Ravelry name. I’ve put a few limited edition three skein shawl sets together to give you some ideas (or if you don’t win…).
