Edinburgh Yarn Festival 2018: Podcast 50

Edinburgh Yarn Festival 2018 Episode 50 title for blog

Hello – its been a long time since I’ve been on my blog but I’m back after Edinburgh Yarn Festival 2018 feeling refreshed and energised. I’ve just loaded up Episode 50 of the podcast, which coincides with my two-year podcasting anniversary. It seems a long time since that try-out Episode 1!

As its been a bit tricky during all the upheaval of the house renovation in the last few weeks and I’ve not had much time for playing with yarn, I’ve concentrated on telling you about my experiences at Edinburgh Yarn Festival 2018. I do a little bit of comparing and contrasting with my first visit to the festival last year. I’ll be back with a bigger catch up about my dyeing, crochet, knitting and general craftiness in a couple of weeks.

This episode is a review of the festival with details of all the beautiful yarn that I bought there. Sorry about the rogue title at the end – no charity projects this time, I just left it in by mistake 😮

BIG CONGRATS on two years podcasting, Kathryn–here’s to years more! :))) This was a fantastic episode all in all. It’s so nice how they made many improvements to last year’s EYF… It sounded much more comfortable in so many ways, which makes things like that more fun when out & about all day. I also really like how you presented the yarn and giving lots of detail in different ways–written text, you talking about them and showing, etc. So many lovely folk you met! Oh, but that was so funny–you “feeling up” Nathan Taylor’s “man-shawl” which was so wonderfully made and colorful… Us fiber folk, gotta touch! 😉 LOL… I would love to get to the EYF one year!

Glad you had such a fun trip. Despite the cold, Edinburgh looks like a city to visit in future. Congrats on the 2 year anniversary. I am not surprised at the success of your podcast. You’re a natural!

Fab podcast as always, loved that you fangirled out with Tracie, think I’d have done the same 🤗 What a fab haul too. Have to say my eyes are a little green this morning 🤣
